Cost Guide
An Honest Guide.
Private jet charter pricing is not as opaque as it is often made to appear. The variables are real — aircraft type, route distance, positioning costs, peak demand — but they are understandable. And understanding them helps you make better decisions.
This guide explains what drives private jet charter costs, what you should expect to pay on common routes, and where the opportunities for better value actually exist. We do not invent numbers — prices vary by market, aircraft, and timing. What we offer is a framework for understanding what you are being quoted and why.
The Variables
The single largest driver of charter cost. A light jet and a heavy jet flying the same route can differ by a factor of three or more in price. The right aircraft is the one that fits your route, your passenger count, and your expectations — not the most impressive one on the brochure.
Charter pricing is typically calculated on flight hours, not miles. Longer routes cost more. But the relationship is not always linear — positioning costs (ferrying an aircraft to your departure airport if it is not based there) can add significant cost on certain routes.
If the nearest available aircraft is 90 minutes from your departure airport, you will typically pay for that ferry time. We work to minimize positioning costs through our operator network.
Private aviation has peak periods: holidays, major events, summer and ski seasons. Pricing during these windows reflects demand. Booking early and having flexibility on timing are the most effective ways to manage this.

Where the Value Is
Empty leg flights offer access to private aviation at 25–75% below standard charter pricing. They are fixed in route and timing — but for travelers with flexibility, they represent the best value in private aviation.
We monitor empty leg availability across our operator network daily. Registering your regular routes with us is the most effective way to access this value consistently.

Questions & Answers
Sometimes — if an operator needs to fill a flight, pricing can be competitive. But for specific routes and times, early booking secures better aircraft availability. Empty legs are the most reliable source of last-minute value.
On some routes, a small group traveling together on a charter can pay less per person than business or first class on a commercial airline — particularly when you factor in the time value of avoiding connections, delays, and airport time.
We are transparent about how we are compensated. We are happy to discuss our fee structure in an initial conversation.
Fuel surcharges can fluctuate, and certain fees (landing, handling) are confirmed closer to the date. We flag any variable components clearly at the time of booking so there are no surprises.
